My Other Half

My lungs are polluted

My mind has been muted

My actions are diluted

Where did I lose myself?

How could she just attack herself

Leave her to wither in the haze

Allow her to burn in the blaze

Is it her fault she chose to walk away

Maybe one day we could reconnect and share the pain

Until then I’ll sit in a room full of smoke

Hidden from those that think I’m a joke

And I know one day we will meet again

And my soul as one I will attain
